01 / Getting Started

Getting Started with ShopRoutine

Learn the basics of ShopRoutine and start managing your store's daily tasks with ease.

What is ShopRoutine?

ShopRoutine helps Shopify merchants organize recurring store operations into a simple daily checklist.

Instead of relying on memory, spreadsheets, or separate task-management tools, merchants can manage routine store activities directly from one structured workspace.

How do I get started?

Open ShopRoutine from your Shopify admin and start by reviewing the tasks prepared for your store. You can select a date and follow your daily checklist.

What tasks are included?

ShopRoutine includes a built-in library of 27 ready-to-use store tasks covering common operational areas such as Sales, Customers, Operations, Marketing, and Analytics.

A new store starts with five essential tasks already active:

  • Check new orders
  • Respond to customer messages
  • Check inventory levels
  • Check active campaigns
  • Check for store issues

The remaining built-in tasks are available whenever the merchant wants to add them.

How does ShopRoutine work?

ShopRoutine is designed around recurring operational tasks, rather than one-time to-do items.

Step 01

Configure your checklist

Step 02

Choose Working Days

Step 03

Set task schedules

Step 04

Use the Dashboard

Step 05

Complete tasks

Step 06

Monitor progress

Important: Completion belongs to the specific date on which the task was scheduled. Completing a task today does not automatically mark tomorrow's task as completed.

02 / Daily Tasks

Daily Tasks

Learn how to manage, complete, and keep track of your daily store tasks.

What are Daily Tasks?

Daily tasks help you stay organized by showing the important activities that should be completed for your store each day.

Where can I see my daily tasks?

Open ShopRoutine from your Shopify admin. Your daily checklist shows the tasks scheduled for the selected date.

How do I complete a task?

When you finish a task, simply check the Done box next to it. Your progress will be updated automatically.

Can I change the selected date?

Yes. Use the date selector at the top of the dashboard to view and manage tasks for a different day.

What do the task categories mean?

Categories help you quickly understand what each task is related to, such as Customers, Marketing, Sales, or other areas of your store.

What information does each task show?

Each task provides the information needed at a glance: Task name, Category, Repeat type, Schedule, and Completion status.

What do Pending and Done mean?

Pending means the task still needs attention. Done means the task has been completed for the selected date.

Can I create or edit tasks?

Yes. Depending on your ShopRoutine setup, you can manage your checklist and adjust tasks to better match your store's workflow.

How does progress work?

ShopRoutine calculates progress from the tasks scheduled for the selected date.

For example, if five tasks are scheduled and three are completed, the Dashboard reflects that three of the five scheduled tasks are finished.

03 / Settings

Settings & Checklist

Configure your store routine, working days, schedules, custom tasks, and language preferences.

Editing your checklist

The Edit checklist page is the main configuration area for the store routine.

Store Working Days

Working Days define your store's normal operating days. The default ShopRoutine configuration is Monday through Friday.

Merchants can change the selection to reflect how their own store operates.

Your Checklist

Your Checklist contains the tasks that are currently active in the store routine. From here, merchants can review or edit task scheduling and remove tasks they no longer need in the active checklist.

Available Tasks

Available Tasks contains reusable built-in tasks and eligible inactive tasks that can be added back into the checklist.

Merchants can also create Custom Tasks for routines that are specific to their business.

What schedule types are supported?

Daily

Daily tasks follow the store's configured Working Days.

Weekly

Weekly tasks run on explicitly selected weekdays and are independent from Store Working Days.

Monthly

Monthly tasks recur according to their configured monthly schedule.

Working Days

Working Days control when Daily tasks normally appear.

Note: Weekly tasks can intentionally run outside normal Working Days. When this happens, ShopRoutine displays an Outside working days indication.

Can I create Custom Tasks?

Yes. Custom Tasks can include their own task name, description, category, repeat type, and schedule.

Once created, they participate in the same scheduling and completion system as built-in ShopRoutine tasks.

What is the difference between Remove and Delete?

Remove takes a reusable task out of the active checklist while keeping it available for later use.

Delete permanently removes a Custom Task.

What happens when I reset to default?

The Reset to default option returns ShopRoutine to its standard starting configuration.

After a reset:

  • Working Days return to Monday–Friday
  • The five default starter tasks become active
  • Remaining built-in tasks return to their standard state
  • Built-in task metadata returns to the default configuration
  • Custom Tasks are deleted
  • Completion history is deleted

Which languages does ShopRoutine support?

ShopRoutine supports six application languages:

English · Türkçe · Deutsch · Français · Español · Русский

Where can I change the language?

Click the Language selector in the top-right corner of ShopRoutine and choose your preferred language. Your selection is saved automatically and will be used the next time you open ShopRoutine.

Does changing the language affect my tasks?

No. Changing the language affects the interface text and presentation without changing task IDs, schedules, completion history, selected dates, or store data.
